Education experiences connect learners, educators, parents, administrators, support teams and institutions. A task that looks simple for one role may create extra work, confusion or access barriers for another.

UX Pacific studies learning and operational journeys in their real context. We help education providers and product teams understand behaviour, usability, motivation, access and adoption while keeping learning questions distinct from interface questions.

Decisions our research supports

Can people start successfully?

Find barriers in discovery, enrolment, setup, access, orientation and the first meaningful task.

Does the experience support learning activity?

Study navigation, comprehension, feedback, pacing, progress and return behaviour.

Can educators and staff work efficiently?

Evaluate planning, delivery, assessment, reporting, permissions and support workflows.

What affects adoption and continued use?

Identify value, effort, confidence, access, training and institutional dependencies.

Experience areas we study

  • Discovery, enrolment, onboarding, access and first-use journeys
  • Content, activities, collaboration, feedback, progress and assessment
  • Educator planning, delivery, grading, communication and classroom workflows
  • Administration, reporting, permissions, support and family communication

People and contexts we include

  • Learners across relevant ages, abilities, languages and levels of experience
  • Teachers, instructors, facilitators, tutors and content teams
  • Parents, caregivers, administrators, support and implementation teams
  • Classrooms, homes, workplaces, remote learning and institutional settings

How we design the research

01

Define the decision

Clarify the audience, learning or workflow context, product stage and decision the study must support.

02

Map roles and dependencies

Connect learner, educator, family, administration, content, support and institutional needs.

03

Recruit responsibly

Select relevant participants and use appropriate consent or assent processes for the study.

04

Study realistic activity

Observe credible tasks, content, devices and constraints in suitable learning or work contexts.

05

Separate experience causes

Distinguish interface friction from content, instruction, policy, training or access conditions.

06

Prioritize practical action

Translate evidence into product, service, content, support and implementation priorities.

Methods matched to the education context

Studies may combine interviews, contextual inquiry, classroom or remote observation, diary studies, journey mapping, usability testing, concept or prototype testing, accessibility research, surveys and analytics or support-data review.

We choose methods around the decision, participant group, learning context, product maturity and institutional constraints.

Experience evidence is not learning proof

UX research can show whether people understand, navigate and use an experience, and how it fits teaching or learning activity. It does not by itself establish learning effectiveness.

Questions about attainment, pedagogy or long-term learning outcomes may require educational measurement, subject expertise or a separate evaluation design.

What your team receives

  • User evidence: behaviours, needs, barriers, workarounds, comprehension and context.
  • Role and journey view: touchpoints, handoffs, dependencies and conflicting needs.
  • Prioritized findings: affected users, evidence, impact, likely cause and confidence.
  • Decision guidance: recommendations for product, content, service, support and implementation teams.
  • Stakeholder readout: clear implications for product, education, operations and leadership teams.

Inclusive research with learners and educators

Education research may involve children, young people, disabled learners and unequal access to devices, connectivity or support. We plan recruitment, consent or assent, privacy, safeguarding, accessibility and appropriate session environments around the study and applicable requirements.

UX research does not replace safeguarding review, accessibility conformance assessment, educational efficacy evaluation, legal advice, data-protection review or institutional approval where those are required. Reports make methods, evidence and limitations visible.
